Job summary

Sentara in Virginia Beach, VA, seeks a patient-focused phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy, labeling, and specimen processing for laboratory testing. You will also handle patient registration and test-data entry, and assist with supplies and inquiries at the point of care.

In this role you may operate lab equipment, perform EKG and glucose meter tests, and interact with hospital staff and physicians. A strong patient-service attitude is essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• 40 hours of clinical experience preferred.
• No certification/licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient phlebotomy and specimen labeling/processing.
