Job summary

Labcorp in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups, collect specimens for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry and patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and a phlebotomy certification or completed training program. Experience is preferred and travel to additional sites may be required.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Atlanta, GA.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm with 1-hour lunch break and Saturdays maybe included.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as neededAble to pass a standardized color blindness test.
