Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist to join our Evanston, IL team. Schedule: Mon, Thu, Fri 8:00am-4:30pm; Tue/Wed 10:30am-7:00pm. Provide blood collections, data entry and patient service in a busy clinical setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy cert or training, and 3+ months of experience. Candidate may travel to additional sites; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred and life-enhancing benefits are provided.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Evanston, IL

Work Schedule: Monday/Thursday/Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, Tuesday/Wednesday 10:30am-7:00pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• 1 year or more Pediatric experience
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Pay Range:

$17.50 - $24.50 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Benefits:

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
