Job summary

NiteLines USA is seeking a professional phlebotomist to support a VA Bedford facility with day shifts. The role involves venipuncture, labeling specimens, and maintaining infection control standards in a state-of-the-art civilian medical setting.

Requirements include 3 years of phlebotomy experience, certification, ACLS and BLS. This is a 8-hour shift (8:00am–4:30pm), 40 hours per week, with possible variations; it is a 1099 contract paid at $35 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens from patients.
• Prepare labels for specimen processing.
• Establish safety and infection control standards of care.
• Shall cover the range of laboratory services, as would be provided in a civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care meeting recognized guidelines.
• Maintain patient medical records and adhere to HIPAA confidentiality.

Payrate:

$35.00 per hour (1099).

Hours:

Day shift, 8 hours per day. Current need is 8:00am-4:30pm (40 hours per week), but provider could be asked to work 8-hour shifts between 6:00am-6:00pm based on the need of the facility. Overtime and holiday shifts may be required. There is no on-call or standby required.

Requirements:

• Phlebotomist must have 3 years of recent Phlebotomy experience.
• Certification as a Phlebotomist.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.

• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens from patients.

• Shall cover the range of laboratory services, as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care meeting currently recognized by ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathology), Joint Commission, AHA (American Hospital Association), CAP (College of American Pathologists), and VHA (Veterans Health Care Standards).
• Maintain patient medical records and adhere to HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.
