Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomist II for an outpatient setting in Woodstock, GA. You will perform venipuncture, label, process, and store specimens while delivering courteous patient care across ages, with emphasis on geriatric patients.

This role focuses on performing high-quality phlebotomy services, including blood draws and other specimen collections, while delivering courteous and professional customer service to patients of all ages, with an emphasis on geriatric populations. The Phlebotomist II accurately collects, labels, processes, and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards, ensuring the integrity of all samples for laboratory testing. This position also supports daily laboratory operations by maintaining equipment, documenting required information, and responding to patient and provider inquiries.
This position is based in an outpatient setting within a specialty care medical practice at the Woodstock location. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a one‑hour lunch break. You work primarily in a clinical laboratory and patient care environment, handling blood and other biological specimens while using standard phlebotomy equipment such as straight needles, butterfly needles, collection tubes, and centrifuges. The setting emphasizes safety, compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations, and adherence to established laboratory protocols. The environment supports professional growth, with potential for the role to transition to a permanent position and opportunities to progress into more advanced laboratory or coordination roles over time. Dress is consistent with a professional clinical and laboratory setting, with appropriate attire and protective equipment required to ensure safety and infection control.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodstock, GA.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
