ICONMA is seeking a Phlebotomist for our Whittier, CA location. The role involves drawing blood, preparing specimens for testing, and explaining procedures to patients with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a CA Phlebotomy license, at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience, and strong data-entry and customer service skills in a clinical or retail setting.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy license is required with CA license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company to patients entering for health-related services.
• Draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing per procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients and performs blood collection safely and accurately.
• Performs daily tasks timely and maintains a safe, professional environment.
• Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established practices.
• Maintains records and documents required for the role.
• Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.

Our Client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Phlebotomist for their Whittier, CA location.

Responsibilities:

• Represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• Direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• Performs daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintains a safe and professional environment.
• Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Maintains required records and documentation.
• Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy License required; CA Phlebotomy License
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
