Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in West Valley City, Utah. The role involves performing skilled specimen collections in a Patient Service Center and delivering exceptional customer service to patients.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with opportunities for growth within the organization. You will collect specimens for various tests, ensure accurate data entry, and manage billing information as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program may be required in lieu of work experience.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or Prior Labcorp experience
• 1 or more years of experience working as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM * Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
