Job summary

Labcorp in Warrenton, MO is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the team. You will perform venipuncture, collect various specimens, enter data accurately, and support billing processes while traveling to additional sites as needed.

The position emphasizes exceptional patient service, independent work, and reliable transportation to cover multiple sites. A phlebotomy training or certification is required, with prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm and rotating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Benefits:

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

Phlebotomist will be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
