Job summary

Labcorp in Torrance, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, collect specimens for drug screens and tests, and ensure accurate data entry and documentation.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a California Phlebotomy license (CPT), and at least six months of experience. Bilingual Spanish/English and prior LabCorp experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 6 month or more of experience as phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking Phlebotomist to join our team at 23456 Hawthorne Blvd Ste290 Torrance, CA 90505.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm with rotating weekends.

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
• 6 month or more of experience as phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
• Current or Prior experience at LabCorp

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation

We are currently seeking a phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Pay Range:

$21.00 - $33.00 per hour

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
