Job summary

American Health Associates is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to serve patients across Toledo, visiting homes and care facilities. The role emphasizes independent work, precise venipuncture, and compassionate patient service.

You will travel to patient homes and facilities, collect samples, and ensure proper labeling and transport while maintaining strong communication with partners and the lab.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Clean criminal history; some states require fingerprinting/background checks.
• Home Draws: minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy work experience; credentialing may be required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
• Passion for safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Toledo, Ohio.
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport.

The role

Are you a skilled phlebotomist who enjoys working independently and providing exceptional patient care? We’re seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our growing team serving patients throughout Toledo — visiting patient homes, skilled nursing and assisted living communities, and bringing quality laboratory services directly to the people who need them most.

What your day looks like

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Toledo, Ohio
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility personnel

What you bring

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients
• Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care; some states require additional background checks including fingerprinting.
• Home Draws: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy work experience required; additional credentialing requirements must be successfully completed prior to working on our Home Draw team!
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Must possess a passion for SAFETY and CUSTOMER SERVICE

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and minimum age 21
