Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist for the The Villages, FL area. This contract role supports patient services by collecting blood samples and preparing specimens for testing with strict adherence to safety and privacy standards.

Onsite with occasional weekends and overtime potential. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 6 months of phlebotomy experience, and Florida credentials; phlebotomy certification is preferred and may be required in certain states.

Phlebotomist

Location: The Villages, FL

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 2 months
• Pay Rate: $19.85–$21.26 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Hours will be 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM after training; Mon–Fri with rotational Saturday
• Overtime: Overtime availability expected
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. The PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.

Required Skills

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent — Required
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training — Preferred
• Phlebotomy certification — Preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
• Florida state credentials/licenses — Required

Required Experience

• Minimum of 6 months experience — Required

Nice-to-Have Experience

• One (1) year phlebotomy experience — Preferred
• Customer service in a retail or service environment — Preferred
