Job summary

Labcorp in Stamford, CT is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, and collecting specimens for various tests.

You will enter patient information accurately, process billing information, and maintain logs. The position requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy training or experience. This is an on-site role with opportunities to travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training, or 3 months phlebotomy experience.
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to additional sites.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 260 Long Ridge Road, Stamford, CT.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:30am – 10:30am and rotating Saturdays as per business need.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other clinical assessments.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or training must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
