Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Seattle team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, collect specimens for tests, and ensure accurate data entry and patient service.

Minimum qualifications include a valid Washington State phlebotomy license and 1+ year of phlebotomy experience; bilingual Mandarin and English is a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and a schedule Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:30pm with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm; additional hours and rotating Saturday's as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience
• 6 or more months of current or prior Labcorp experience in phlebotomy
• Bilingual with proficiency in Mandarin and English

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $22.30 - $27.69 per hour

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
