Job summary

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a part-time phlebotomist for a 20-hour weekly schedule in McAllen, TX. The role focuses on patient care, accurate venipuncture, and proper specimen handling.

You will work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced laboratory setting. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, ensuring accurate labeling, and maintaining safety and quality standards while providing excellent service to patients and clinicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy training or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

This opportunity is:

Location: McAllen, TX

Status: Part-time (20 hours)

Hours: 8am to 12pm

Shift: 1st

In this role, you will:

• Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service.
• Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.
• Collect/prepare non-blood specimens.
• Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

All you need is:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and data entry skills

Bonus points if you’ve got:

• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians
