Job summary

Labcorp in Rapid City is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Patient Service Center team at 713 Omaha St. The role offers a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm schedule with potential for additional hours.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen prep, data entry and delivering outstanding patient service. Minimum qualifications require a High School diploma or equivalent; Phlebotomy certification or training is preferred, with the ability to travel to additional sites as needed and to pass a

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at our Rapid City Patient Service Center at 713 Omaha St., Rapid City, SD. 57701. We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, additional hours/days may be requested in this role.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program: Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
