American Health Associates is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to serve Portsmouth, Ohio, visiting patients at homes and skilled nursing facilities to collect specimens and deliver care directly to patients who need it most.

Ideal candidates have phlebotomy certification (or current certification) and experience with elder care, with the ability to work independently in a flexible, part-time schedule. This role supports our nationwide labs and emphasizes safety and patient service.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients
• Clean criminal history; background checks where required
• Home Draws: 3+ years phlebotomy work experience; credentialing before Home Draw team
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Passion for SAFETY and CUSTOMER SERVICE

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities and other healthcare locations in Portsmouth, OH
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate labeling, specimen integrity and transport

The role

Are you a skilled phlebotomist who enjoys working independently and providing exceptional patient care? We're seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our growing team serving patients throughout Portsmouth - visiting patient homes, skilled nursing and assisted living communities, and bringing quality laboratory services directly to the people who need them most.

What your day looks like

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Portsmouth, Ohio
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transportProvide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility personnel

What you bring

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients
• Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care; some states require additional background checks including fingerprinting.
• Home Draws: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy work experience required; additional credentialing requirements must be successfully completed prior to working on our Home Draw team!
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Must possess a passion for SAFETY and CUSTOMER SERVICE

Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and minimum age 21
