Overview

Position Summary: Performs Phlebotomy and related specimen collection on In Patients, Out Patients, on all age groups for a variety of lab tests.

Responsibilities
  • Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary methods, as well as urine specimens from all age groups, for a variety of laboratory tests and procedures.
  • These are used in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
  • Provides specimen collection information and test preparation information to nursing, patients and family members as appropriate.
