Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in Petersburg, VA. The role focuses on skilled specimen collection, handling, and patient interaction with a strong emphasis on accuracy and service.

You will be responsible for venipuncture and capillary collections, data entry, and support of billing and logistics. This position offers steady shifts, different duties, and opportunities for growth within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Certification from an accredited agency may be required in lieu of work experience.
• Able to pass a standardized color vision test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient data accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Carry out administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as required.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at our client site in Petersburg, VA.

Work Schedule

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm, Tuesday 6:00am - 1:30pm, Friday 6:00am - 9:00am, rotating Saturdays at the Prince George PSC 7:30am-12:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Travel to additional sites when needed, reliable transportation

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work at a client site. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

• Pay Range: $17.75 - $27.69 per hour

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
