Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Mount Olive, NC team. The role involves providing skilled specimen collections and exceptional customer service in a Monday–Friday 9am–6pm schedule.

You will collect specimens for various tests, enter data accurately, assist with billing when needed, and travel to additional sites as required. A phlebotomy certification or relevant training is preferred, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Mount Olive, NC.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 9am-6pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

PS’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
