Job description

Overview

Labcorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am-1:00pm.

Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
  • Travel to additional sites when required
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
  • Three (3) months or more experience as a phlebotomist
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year or more of phlebotomy experience with patients of all ages
Additional Job Standards
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, or Temporary employees participate only in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees scheduled 7 on/7 off receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
