Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work at Clay County Hospital in Middleburg, FL. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture/capillary methods, data entry, and providing excellent patient service.

You may travel to additional sites as needed and will support billing processes where appropriate. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and 3 months of phlebotomy experience; certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Complete administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.

Labcorp is seeking aPhlebotomistto work at Clay County Hospital in Middleburg, FL.

Work Schedule:

2:00PM-12:0AM working 4 rotating days/week and every other weekend

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcoholtestsetc.
• Perform data entry of patient information inan accurateandtimelymanner
• Process billing information and collect payments whenrequired
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel toadditionalsites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital setting

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proventrack recordin providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communicationskills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
