Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team in multiple patient service centers and client offices in the Lexington area. The role focuses on skilled specimen collection, accurate data entry, and delivering exceptional customer service to patients and clients.

In this role you may travel to additional sites, provide timely testing preparation, and support billing processes as needed. A phlebotomy credential or training is required, with opportunities for professional growth within Labcorp.

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Ability to travel to additional sites as needed

Monday – Friday 8:30am-1:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

• Reliable transportation

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation

• Be at least 21 years’ old

Phlebotomist will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
