Overview

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist III to support our client’s medical facility in Stockbridge, Georgia. It's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Leesburg, VA 20176

Duration: 4+ Months

Pay rate: Depends on the experience of the candidate.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-12pm

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Responsibilities
  • Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
  • Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.
  • Explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of venipuncture (blood drawing) and other specimen collection as required (e.g., urine or fecal).
  • Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
  • Fully understand all physician orders. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
  • Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.
  • Package specimens for transport.
  • Store specimens at the required temperature and place them accordingly.
Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 1 yr. of phlebotomy experience is required.
