Job summary

American Health Associates is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to support Indianapolis communities by visiting patient homes, SNFs, and assisted living facilities. This part-time role offers flexible schedules and independent work in a patient-facing environment.

You will perform venipuncture, verify patient identity, document results, and coordinate with the lab team to ensure timely specimen transport. Prior phlebotomy experience and valid license/cert preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and age 21+.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Self-directed to work independently with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes, SNFs, and other facilities in Indianapolis.
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Verify patient ID and ensure accurate labeling, transport and specimen integrity.
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and partners.
• Complete required documentation and communicate with laboratory staff.

The role

Are you a skilled phlebotomist who enjoys working independently and providing exceptional patient care? We’re seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our growing team serving patients throughout Indianapolis — visiting patient homes, skilled nursing and assisted living communities, and bringing quality laboratory services directly to the people who need them most.

What your day looks like

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Indianapolis, IN
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility staff

What you bring

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and age 21+
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
