American Health Associates in Mt. Vernon, IL is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team. You will travel to patient homes and senior facilities, performing venipuncture and capillary draws with a focus on compassionate, accurate service.

This position requires phlebotomy certification (preferred) and demonstrated experience, especially with elderly patients. You will maintain patient safety, complete documentation, and communicate clearly with our laboratory and facility partners.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients.
• Clean criminal history; some states require fingerprinting and background checks.
• Home Draws: minimum 3 years of phlebotomy work experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Self-direction to work independently with a flexible schedule.
• Must have a passion for SAFETY and CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The role

Are you a skilled phlebotomist who enjoys working independently and providing exceptional patient care? We’re seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our growing team serving patients throughout Mt. Vernon — visiting patient homes, skilled nursing and assisted living communities, and bringing quality laboratory services directly to the people who need them most.

What your day looks like

• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Mt. Vernon, IL
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility personnel

What you bring

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients
• Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care; some states require additional background checks including fingerprinting.
• Home Draws: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy work experience required; additional credentialing requirements must be successfully completed prior to working on our Home Draw team!
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Must possess a passion for SAFETY and CUSTOMER SERVICE

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and minimum age 21
