Job summary

Labcorp in Holly Springs, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods for patients of all ages, sample handling, data entry, and travel to other sites as needed.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training, with 6 months+ experience. A 1-year minimum is preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with rotating Saturdays when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for various tests and ensure proper handling.
• Enter patient data accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs of patient and specimen data.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative tasks as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHLEBOTOMIST LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Holly Springs, NC.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Rotating Saturday's 8am - 12pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
