Job summary

Gordon Memorial Health Services in Gordon, NE is seeking a Phlebotomist responsible for the collection, processing, and distribution of patient specimens for testing, using point-of-care instrumentation where applicable.

You will follow department policies, maintain quality and safety standards, and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff while handling laboratory equipment and information systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Position Summary:

Responsible for collection, processing, and distribution of patient specimens for testing adhering to department identification policies. Perform, evaluate, and report patient specimens using point-of-care instrumentation. Demonstrates behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment and provides excellent customer service in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Gordon Memorial Health Services.
