Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a bilingual Phlebotomist to join our Evanston team at 1285 Hartrey, Evanston, IL. The schedule is Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 9:00am-6:00pm and Wed 10:30am-7:30pm. Travel to additional sites as needed.

You will perform venipuncture and specimen collection, enter data accurately, and provide superb patient service. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system and process billing as needed.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis; maintain logs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and support staff.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Bilingual Phlebotomist to join our team at Erie Evanston: 1285 Hartrey, Evanston, IL. 60201.

Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00am-6:00pm, Wednesday 10:30am-7:30pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Phlebotomist will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Pay Range: $17.50 - $24.50 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Phlebotomist may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
