Job summary

Labcorp in El Paso, TX is hiring a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections and patient service in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will collect specimens, enter data, and support billing and administrative tasks while maintaining high quality service across diverse patient populations.

Preferred candidates have 2+ years of phlebotomy experience, Labcorp experience, and a valid certification or accredited training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
• Current or prior Labcorp experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification/training from an accredited agency qualifies.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as required.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in El Paso, TX 79924.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday 7am-4pm and rotating Saturdays 8am-12pm; additional days and hours may be required

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or Prior Labcorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
