Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking a Patient Services Representative II to be the friendly face of the clinic, handling phlebotomy duties and patient interactions with care and precision.

The role requires strong phlebotomy skills, experience with pediatric and geriatric patients, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Travel to multiple locations and on-call hours are expected, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Represent the face of Synectics to patients at clinics, services centers, or doctors' offices.
• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure a safe, accurate, and confidential process.
• Perform daily activities under supervision to meet timing and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment and accurate documentation.
• Verify patient demographic info/signatures post-venipuncture to confirm labeling and identification.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence in patient interactions.

• The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The PSR II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• The PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
• Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• 1-3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
