Job summary

Medical City Decatur, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team on site in Decatur, TX. You will perform phlebotomy procedures to obtain specimens for testing and greet patients with care.

Responsibilities include collecting blood samples by finger sticks, venipuncture, labeling specimens, and entering data into the laboratory information system. A preferred acute care hospital background and BLS certification are expected.

Qualifications

• HR diploma or GED required
• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience or Certification through a clinical phlebotomy program may be considered in lieu of experience
• Acute care hospital experience is strongly preferred
• Skilled phlebotomy technique; BLS within30 days of hire

Job Summary and Qualifications
