Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist for 1st shift in Danbury, CT. This contract position runs for 3 months with a daytime schedule, M-F, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, onsite.

The role requires phlebotomy skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required; salary range is $17–$21 per hour. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).

Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $17.00–$21.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day/Eastern – Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

• Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.

Required Skills

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Required Experience

• Minimum of 6 months of experience.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• One (1) year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Overtime availability required.
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call availability required based on staffing needs.
