As a Phlebotomist, you will perform collection of blood specimens from patients of all ages and transports specimens to the laboratory for analysis. You will be responsible for:

• Demonstrating correct procedure for completion of venipuncture and skin puncture procedures for patients of all ages.
• Accurately labeling tubes immediately after collection. Never pre-label tubes.
• Following the laboratory’s procedures for specimen collection, labeling, handling, and transport.
• Demonstrating adequate understanding of proficiency in using the computer systems.
• Performing laboratory support functions as applicable.
• Assisting nursing units with requests for specimen collection, specimen transport, and needed supplies.
• Working flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.

Requirements

What you will need:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification in Phlebotomy is preferred.
