Job summary

Labcorp in Barstow, CA is hiring a phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, collect specimens for drug screens and tests, and ensure accurate data entry of patient information.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, processing billing when needed, and traveling to additional sites as required. The schedule is Mon-Fri 6:50 am–3:45 pm, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• California Phlebotomy license (CPT) required.
• 3 months or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Location & Schedule

Labcorp is seeking Phlebotomist to join our team at 574 E Virginia Way Barstow, CA.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:50 am- 3:45 pm additional hours and rotating Saturdays may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
• 3 months or more of experience as phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
• Current or Prior experience at LabCorp

Additional Job Standards

In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.

• 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation

Incentive Programme

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Pay

Pay Range: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
