Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist for an onsite contract in Austell, GA. The role involves drawing blood samples for lab testing, maintaining patient confidentiality, and ensuring accurate labeling and documentation throughout the process.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, be able to handle pediatric and geriatric patients, and work a schedule that includes weekends and varying shifts. Travel to multiple locations may be required.

Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA/NV/WA.
  • GA state credentials/licenses required.

Phlebotomist

Location: Austell, GA

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 7 months
  • Pay Rate: $21.70-$23.25 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: 1st 2 weeks of each month M, W and Th 9a-5p w/30 min lunch & Fri. 8a-12p; 2nd 2 weeks of each month M 9a-5p, Wed 1p-5p, Thu 1p-5p and Fri 8a-12p. This schedule is subject to change per the provider.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and required to cover at Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. The PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
  • Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
Required Skills
  • Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

  • Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • GA state credentials/licenses required.
Required Experience
  • 1-3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Overtime required.
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
