• Perform EKGs in presurgical testing as needed.

Essential Functions

• Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of department and hospital policies and procedures.
• Utilizes AIDET and Patient Experience measures during patient interactions.
• Attend staff meetings and in-services.
• Complete competency requirements on an annual basis.
• Follows all infection control and prevention policies.
• Demonstrate ability to maintain a safe environment and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to obtain blood or other specimens using varied technique on all age groups.
• Proficient in the use of the laboratory information system and hospital information system (where applicable).
• Maintain supplies in a neat and orderly manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• Make appropriate decisions independently.
• Prioritize workload.
• Inform management of problems.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient data.
• Cross training in ATC, MLW, Phlebotomy/Accessioning.
• Performs EKGs in Presurgical testing location.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
