Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in philosophy.
• Two years of teaching experience in philosophy (preferably at the community college level).
• Demonstrated commitment to our community college mission.
• Knowledge of Blackboard Ultra or other course management software.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assess student learning outcomes in philosophy courses.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum evaluation and improvement.
• Promote learner-centered scheduling including evening, off-campus, web-delivered, and blended formats.
• Develop and revise courses and programs in collaboration with colleagues.
• Participate in course-level, program-level, and institution-level assessment.
• Mentor and support adjunct faculty.
• Engage in professional development and contribute to College initiatives.
• Support the College Mission, Vision, and Purposes.
