The incumbent in this position will be responsible for developing and implement effective fundraising strategies that support the organization’s financial goals. The role involves identifying new funding opportunities, managing campaigns, and maintaining strong relationships with donors across various sectors. The incumbent is responsible for tracking fundraising progress, analyzing data, and providing timely reports to stakeholders. They also oversee donation processing, grant proposal development, and compliance with all relevant regulations. Additionally, this position supports event planning and donor recognition programs to enhance engagement and appreciation. Collaboration with staff, board members, and volunteers is essential to maximize fundraising success and ensure seamless operations.

Description of Duties:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans, identify new funding opportunities, and manage fundraising campaigns to support organizational goals.
  • Track fundraising progress, analyze donor and campaign data, and provide regular performance reports to key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations, to support ongoing fundraising efforts.
  • Conduct research to identify potential new donors, assess their giving capacity and interests, and develop tailored strategies for engagement.
  • Managing the process of receiving and recording donations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing timely acknowledgment of gifts.
  • Research and identify grant opportunities, assist in the development and preparation of grant proposals, and manage all grant reporting requirements to ensure compliance and timely submissions.
  • Assist with organizing fundraising events, such as ga las, auctions, and donor appreciation events.
  • Manage donor recognition programs and ensure donors feel appreciated and connected to the organization's work.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor information, contributions, and communication.
  • Ensure all fundraising activities comply with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Work closely with other staff, board members, and volunteers to support fundraising efforts.
  • Travel as required, including overnight stays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Decision Making:

The incumbent exercises independent judgment in developing and executing fundraising strategies, making key decisions about campaign priorities and donor engagement approaches. They analyze donor and campaign data to inform adjustments and ensure fundraising goals are met. Decisions related to gift processing, record-keeping, and donor acknowledgment require careful attention to accuracy and compliance with organizational policies. The incumbent determines the best methods for researching and targeting potential donors and grant opportunities. Collaboration with staff, board members, and volunteers involves consulting and coordinating but ultimately requires the incumbent to take initiative and lead fundraising efforts. Overall, the role demands a balance of strategic decision-making and operational oversight to support organizational objectives.

Essential Functions:
