Oliver Gospel Mission Inc. seeks a Philanthropy Officer to secure large donations and build relationships with high-net-worth individuals and foundations in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on leading donor engagement and advancing fundraising goals.

You will cultivate major gifts, manage donor portfolios, and represent the organization at community events while working remotely to Columbia residents and aligning with our mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Exceptional skills in relating to a wide variety of individuals.
• Experience in customer service, sales, and nonprofit fundraising.
• Experience in public speaking.
• Knowledge of fundraising and donor CRM software.
• Knowledge of PC-based software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the philanthropy cultivation process for the organization, including elevating the public profile and engagement opportunities of key organizational leaders.
• Cultivate major donor relationships through various communication channels.
• Manage, engage, and increase the quantity and value of current major donors and prospects. Generate large sponsorships and donations for special events.
• Compile, manage, and solicit large donations from a qualified portfolio of up to 125-150 Major Donors.
• Report progress against identified metrics and provide analytics as needed.
• Conduct educational and informational presentations and tours on Oliver Gospel’s work to community supporters.
• Research and compile information to create detailed donor profiles on qualified major donors and prospects.
• Serve as the campaign lead for the Hope Match Challenge, implementing donor strategy, communications, and goal achievement.
• Represent Oliver Gospel at community or partner events.

Position Summary
