Job summary

TikTok is seeking a PhD intern for the Recommendation group in San Jose to contribute to production-quality recommendation models and ML research. You will work with a team of researchers and engineers to drive product impact, optimize algorithms, and scale ML infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Internship offers hands-on learning, exposure to state-of-the-art techniques, and opportunities to collaborate across teams while developing professional skills and contributing to TikTok's

Qualifications

  • PhD student in CS or related technical discipline.
  • Strong coding and algorithms in C++/Python.
  • Experience with ML and at least one DL framework.

Responsibilities

  • Build industry-leading recommendation system to improve UX and growth.
  • Deliver end-to-end ML solutions for product challenges.
  • Own full-stack ML system and optimize algorithms and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product strategies.
