Job summary

Meta is seeking Research Interns for the Recommendation Systems team to perform cutting-edge AI research in Recsys, focusing on multi-modal content understanding and large-scale model services. Interns will work with top researchers and engineers to publish and contribute open-source software where appropriate.

The program runs 12 to 24 weeks with multiple start dates. Interns will collaborate across product and infrastructure teams to deploy models at Meta’s scale and impact FoA.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, AI, or related field.
• Authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Programming in Python with PyTorch and Transformers experience.
• Experience with ML modeling, multi-modal ML, and large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead long-term ambitious research goals in recommendation systems and multi-modal analysis.
• Publish and contribute open-source software when appropriate.
• Design, train and support AI/ML libraries and models for internal Meta use.
• Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional teams to communicate progress.
