Job summary

NVIDIA's Robotic Visual Perception and Learning internship program seeks highly motivated PhD students to advance research in computer vision, robotics, and machine learning. Interns publish in top conferences, work with experienced mentors, and often return for further internships. Projects are crafted to match expertise and transfer to product groups.

Intern hourly rates range 38–94 USD, with intern benefits. Applications are open until Oct 25, 2026.

Qualifications

Pursuing a PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related field.
Excellent knowledge of theory and practice of computer vision methods, deep learning, robotics, and/or control.
Expertise in one or more of: 3D computer vision, reinforcement learning, real-to-sim-to-real, tactile sensing, or robotic manipulation.
Excellent programming skills in Python (C++ and/or CUDA is a plus).
Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
Proven track record of publication in top-tier conferences.
Excellent communications and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Reproduce existing state-of-the-art computer vision methods.
Research, design, and implement novel deep learning algorithms for CV, robotics, and control.
Publish original research.
Collaborate with team members, research teams, and product teams.
Transfer technology to product groups.
