NVIDIA is seeking several interns to join the Learning and Perception research team in Santa Clara, CA, focusing on embodied and agentic AI. You'll work with world-class researchers, mentors, and partners to move ideas from hypothesis to rigorous experiments and real-world transfer.

The role requires pursuing a PhD in CS/EE, strong AI knowledge, and proficient coding in Python and C++. Familiarity with PyTorch and CUDA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent knowledge of AI theory and practice, especially CV, LLMs and agents.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++ for rapid prototyping.
• Experience with PyTorch and ML frameworks.
• Promising research track record and strong communication skills.

Job description

NVIDIA is searching for several interns to join the Learning and Perception research team for an internship in the areas of embodied and agentic AI, such as perception, agentic reasoning, multi-modal and continual learning, AI scientists, and so on. We are passionate about research that pushes boundaries but also has impact in the real world. You will work within an amazing and collaborative research team that has a long history of publishing the results of internship projects at top venues in computer vision and machine learning. We have many experienced mentors in the team, and our interns often choose to return for another internship. We carefully craft internship projects such that they match the interns' expertise.

What you'll be doing:

• Research, design, and implement novel embodied and agentic AI methods.
• Work collaboratively with your mentor and a broader team of world-class researchers to develop your ideas from early hypothesis through rigorous experimentation.
• Partner with product and engineering groups to transfer research breakthroughs into real-world applications
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on ideas using state-of-the-art hardware and infrastructure.

What we need to see:

• Must be pursuing a PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of theory and practice of AI, in particular in computer vision, LLMs, and agents.
• Excellent programming skills in some rapid prototyping environment such as Python, C++.
• Knowledge of common machine learning frameworks, such as PyTorch.
• Promising research track record.
• Excellent communications skills.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Knowledge in parallel programming (e.g., CUDA) is a plus.

Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay based on the position, your location, year in school, degree, and experience. The hourly rate for our interns is 38 USD - 94 USD.
