Job summary

Susquehanna is seeking a Quantitative Research Intern who will work on projects that model the work of our full-time employees and participate in an education program with mentors at the top of their field.

You will apply probability theory, statistics, and machine learning to predict market behavior, generate alphas, and backtest ideas using historical data. Collaboration across teams and exposure to multiple areas of the business are integral to this internship.

Qualifications

• PhDs in penultimate or final year in quantitative fields such as mathematics, physics, statistics, electrical engineering, computer science, operations research, or economics.
• Analytical problem-solvers with excellent logical reasoning and a passion for turning data into decisions.
• Clear communicators in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Model market behavior and generate alphas using probability theory, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques.
• Create strategies to execute on modelling ideas under simulated competition.
• Backtest ideas using historical market data and revise strategies.
• Explore all aspects of quant work and different areas of Susquehanna’s business.
• Participate in a comprehensive education program and receive personalized mentorship from experienced professionals to accelerate your growth.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and gain exposure to different groups and parts of the business.
