Job summary

The Institute for Humane Studies (IHS) is seeking a Graduate Engagement Strategist to develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of PhD students. Reporting to the Associate Director of Intellectual Talent Development, you will connect graduate scholars to resources, opportunities, and a broad IHS network.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned students, support PhD-focused initiatives, and collaborate across teams to ensure coordinated engagement and program

Qualifications

• Experience in higher education, academic administration, nonprofit programming, or related field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with defined timelines and deliverables.
• Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication suited to academic audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of PhD students.
• Coordinate program topics, identify speakers, and manage invitations.
• Support logistics, communications, and follow-up for assigned programs.
• Track participation and outcomes to inform future programming.
• Attend conferences and events to build relationships and expand the network.
