Job summary

SavATree is seeking a Plant Health Care Specialist to monitor, diagnose, and treat tree and shrub health issues within a defined territory. A typical day includes inspecting plant material for pests and diseases, and applying the most appropriate treatments to promote plant health.

You will prepare diagnostic reports, educate clients about their landscapes, and operate spray equipment safely. This role rewards independence, problem-solving, and commitment to protecting the environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Sciences, Landscape Management, Turfgrass—or related experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with responsibility and care.
• Commitment to training and obtaining necessary licenses/certifications.

Position Summary

About You

You are passionate about plants, eager to learn, and motivated to grow within the field of plant health care. You bring:

• A degree in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Sciences, Landscape Management, Turfgrass—or related experience (preferred)
• The ability to work independently with responsibility and care
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills to engage with clients effectively
• Willingness to learn plant/tree identification and safe equipment use
• Commitment to completing required training and obtaining necessary certifications and licenses
• Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.
• A valid driver’s license with the ability to operate service-line vehicles
