The Level II Phased Array Technician will be responsible for establishing and developing our PAUT program, performing PAUT examinations, and training peers to achieve PAUT proficiency.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment.
  2. Performing ultrasonic inspections of pressure members according to ASME standards.
  3. Conducting tests to ensure quality and detect discontinuities using NDT methods.
  4. Establishing proper examination techniques and ensuring safety compliance.
  5. Applying testing criteria, evaluating results, and reporting findings.
  6. Performing specialized inspections and supervising technicians as needed.
  7. Handling other inspection methods such as MT & PT in laboratory or field settings.
  8. Performing Level II UT Shear wave responsibilities, flaw classification, sizing, and plotting.
  9. Carrying out other assignments as required by the company.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current certifications in UT and PAUT methods.
  • Familiarity with applicable welding codes, e.g., ASME.
  • Preferred additional NDE certifications in MT, PT, RT.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to pass background, drug/alcohol, ergonomic, and motor vehicle checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SNT-TC-1A/ACCP Level II certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in Time-of-Flight Diffraction.
  • Proficiency with ES Beam Tool and PA scanning techniques.
