Actalent is hiring an Oncology Registered Nurse in Indianapolis, IN for Phase I clinical trials. The role supports multiple cancer centers and requires travel between locations. Expect 5–7 patient visits daily, EPIC documentation, blood draws, and adherence to study protocols.

The position is contract-to-hire and onsite, with a day shift Tuesday–Thursday schedule. Competitive hourly pay ranges are offered, along with standard benefits eligibility where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana.
• 2 years oncology nursing experience required.
• Experience documenting patient vital signs and clinical assessments.
• Proficiency in blood draws, specimen collection, and handling.
• Experience with patient pre-screening activities.
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems.
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel between multiple locations as needed.
• Certified Chemotherapy Nurse (OCN) preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient visits for Phase I oncology trials, supporting 5–7 patients daily across studies.
• Assess and document vital signs and patient status using EPIC.
• Collect and process biological specimens including blood draws with proper labeling and timely delivery.
• Assist with patient pre-screening per study protocols.
• Provide oncology nursing care during study visits 1–8 hours long.
• Monitor safety, tolerance, and protocol compliance during visits.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate care and workflows.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation per study requirements.
• Participate in team meetings and discuss patient care and trial operations.
• Travel between cancer centers and clinics to support visits and research operations.
• Ensure compliance with protocols and nursing standards.
