Duane Reade is seeking a dynamic, flexible and motivated team player to join the Pharmacy department as a Pharmacy Technician. This position will be responsible for verification of prescription information within Duane Reade Pharmacies.

Responsibilities include verifying complete and accurate prescriptions, retrieving, counting, weighing and sometimes mixing medications, preparing labels, pricing and filing, and stocking shelves under the supervision of a Pharmacist.

Qualifications

• Verifies that prescription information is complete and accurate.
• Retrieves, counts, pours, weighs, measures and sometimes mixes medication.
• Prepares the prescription labels and affixes the labels to the container.
• Prices and files prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• May maintain patient profiles and stock inventory of medications.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Verify prescription information for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare and label medications and containers.
• Assist pharmacist by pricing, filing and processing prescriptions.
• Maintain patient profiles and pharmacy inventory.
• Answer questions and refer drug information to a Pharmacist.
• Stock shelves and scan merchandise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Handle register and basic merchandising tasks.
