Job summary

IEHP is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for Utilization Management (RxUM) to perform technical/clinical reviews of UM authorization requests with medication components. You will work under the Supervisor of RxUM to ensure accurate processing and quality compliance.

The role requires 1+ year experience as a pharmacy technician, active CA license, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency. On-site IEHP benefits and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a pharmacy setting.
• Active, unrestricted California Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency may be required and assessed.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical/clinical review of utilization management authorization requests with a medication component.
• Collaborate with RxUM team to ensure accurate processing of UM requests.
• Support quality and compliance initiatives within IEHP’s Pharmacy Utilization Management program.

Education & Requirements

• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a pharmacy required
• Experience in a pharmacy benefit management setting preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Possession of an active, unrestricted, and unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy required
• Applicable to Bilingual job code only - Bilingual (English/Spanish) - written and verbal skills required

• Typing speed of 40 corrected words per minute (CWPM) required
